Psalms 73, Prosperity Of The Wicked

This morning I want us to look at a chapter in Psalms. That chapter is 73.
In this chapter, David is concerned about how the wick prosper. I supposed we all have thought that at times. How the wicked are doing so well, getting away with things that we know that are wrong according to God’s word, calling bad good and good bad. We see it in our society today. Maybe it has always been that way in some other parts of the world. This was David plea in this chapter.
Ps 73:3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
down through verse 10, they are described. What they are and how they act.
But 11 shows the defiance of the wicked.
Ps 73:11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
This is blatant rebellion.
verses 11-16, tell us where David was at. What he felt about himself and the situation with the wicked.
verse 17, Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
verses 18-20 tells us of the state of the wicked. Where they are and where they will end up.
verses 21-28 tells us of the place David was in. Once he understood their position, he was knew how blessed he was to be with God Almighty. He knew he was blessed.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
28 the conclusion,
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
The wicked here on earth may proper, but we have our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for eternity.
Praise the Lord.
God bless you all.
