Personal Thoughts

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Every which way the wind blows” or “just follow the wind”? Probably you have heard these and a few more. Most of the time, it’s just referring to “just go with the flow” or “it is what it is”. Sounds kinda immature to me, does it you?

In some ways it’s a good philosophy. Don’t fret about the small stuff. Actually God tells us not to fret about the big or small stuff. No fear.

But having said that, is that how we are conduct our lives? Or are we supposed to drive with a direction in mind? Which is it or is it both types.

As individuals we sometimes ask, do I go or do I stay? do I walk or do I run? do I keep silent or do I talk?

For those who want a laid out plan, this can be pretty challenging. Their are those who stop all together without a laid out plan. Is this good or bad? Sometimes staying is worse than going. Sometimes going if worse than staying. How are we to know what to do?

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2. A time to be born, and time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a  time to cast away;

7. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

To you old Rock fans of the rock group the Byrds, if these scriptures sound familiar, the Byrds used some of these scriptures for their lyrics to the song, “Turn, Turn, Turn”.

Seriously thought, how do you know for sure?

However, some moves can just be wrong, some, absolutely right.  Some would say move out in faith. But even faith requires action rather its going or coming, staying or leaving? I suppose it all boils down to being able to hear the voice of God.

I know one thing for sure, you have to have a right heart before God.

Psalms 51:10 create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

This should always be our prayer daily!

Happy navigating the courses of life.
